D r. D e b o r a h S o u l e
Dr. Deborah L. Soule is an experienced consultant, trainer and researcher with interdisciplinary expertise and international, industrial, and academic experience. She helps organizations understand, apply and adapt to ever-improving digital technologies and pervasive connected data. She is passionate about translating research and knowledge about the emerging digital economy into timely, meaningful and actionable insights.

Deborah’s education and research background includes a Doctorate from Harvard Business School, an MBA from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science from Rhodes University in South Africa. Her dissertation research examined how geographically dispersed new product teams learn and accomplish challenging work. Her findings revealed critical knowledge sharing practices and the importance of both occupation-based knowledge and location-based knowledge.

Dr. Soule started her career in Information Systems in the chemical and plastics industry, gaining experience of multidisciplinary and multilingual settings. She has worked in Europe, Africa and North America, in B2B service operations and leading information systems development projects. Prior to academia, she consulted on information systems and operations projects.
